About the Inventor

Since I was 10 years old I’ve always been fascinated with body building influenced by watching movies with Arnold, Stallone, & the Rock. Always a husky kid, I just thought I was going to be a big man and settled for that. A football injury in high school introduced me to the world of physical therapy and injury rehabilitation. I chose Athletic Training as a major and headed to Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado to pursue my degree. During my senior year in college I had no clue what I was going to do after graduation. Then, Personal Training came to mind. It seemed right – a perfect fit for my personality. I’ve always been a people person willing to help others. There was only one problem, I was out of shape.  

Before I could train others, I had to do it myself. But I never had the determination or drive to achieve the kind of physique I dreamed of as a child. In the past I’d work out hard for 3 weeks and then stop for a month. My eating habits were still bad; from drinking soda to eating a whole pizza in one sitting. But this time I was determined to stay committed to exercise 4 to 5 times a week and change my eating habits. I learned what foods were ideal and how to eat to compensate for my workouts.

In January 2009, I started my journey towards getting in shape. By May of 2009 I had dropped 30 pounds. I felt amazing, both from a health standpoint and how I looked. That motivated me to keep going. By November I had dropped another 36 pounds. My family and friends were shocked. They didn’t even recognize me. I surprised myself.

Initially, my plan was to lose weight and look good. What I got out of the experience was so much more than I expected. I learned how and what to eat and how to cook food that was healthy and actually very good. The combination helped me melt the pounds away, build lean mass, and improve the quality of health in my body. I achieved what I thought only the imagination of a 10-year old; not Arnold, Stallone, or “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson; but Jionni Paige physically fit.

I’ve been personal training and showing people how it’s done for the past 8 years and enjoying every moment of it. The Fitness Paige exists because I am a Personal Trainer and group exercise specialist that wants to show you how to achieve your fitness goals without fad diets or fat burning products introduced constantly. I train from the standpoint of my personal experiences of struggling with weight loss and bring that compassion and understanding to each session. The combination of your determination, exercise and diet, will promote a healthy lifestyle for you. Just to complete small obtainable goals every day will get you to long term goals sooner. Before you know it you will begin the fitness chapter in your life!

I became an inventor as a result of fulfilling a need in the gym. I created the JIO GRIP ™. This product was inspired and developed as a result of a suggestion from one of my dedicated personal training clients. I turned that suggestion into a reality. My motto is “Goals Set, Goals Met” in every aspect of life.
